2011 The Year of Light

As we close out 2010 and enter into a new year it is time to pause and take stock of the past year and prepare for the new.

2010 was, for many, a year of drastic changes and upheavals.  Ghosts of the past raised their heads and demanded attention and clearing.  2010 was a year of introspection and forgiveness, not only of others but of self.  It was a year to take a closer look at what is really important and what things have been outgrown and no longer needed, nor wanted. It was a year of clearing and cleansing.

We are about to close the Holiday Season, a season for various festivals celebrating Light.  Hanukah is the Jewish celebration of Light’ Winter Solstice is a celebration of the return of the Light after the longest night of the year, and Christmas is the celebration of the Christ who is the Light of the world.  It is a time to let our Light shine.

As we have worked on our forgiveness and our priorities this past year we have let go of some of the darkness around us and in us, thus enabling us to let our Light shine even brighter.  My intention for 2011 is to consciously shine my Light as brightly as possible and to hold for all, a world filled with Light and Love.

I invite you to join me in this intention.
